Different Ways We Can Help

Yield Data Collection

First, we calculate historical student yield by the following factors, based on data availability:

  • Housing type
  • Age
  • Price Point

Projection Calculations

After calculating yield factors, we multiply them by the number of projected new housing units per year. This provides an estimate of the number of potential students from new housing.

Analysis

We then analyze the pattern of yield change over time to incorporate observed fluctuations in housing yields due to factors such as housing turnover.

This provides a district-wide estimate of students based on historical and anticipated rates of housing development, including vacant developable land, approximately 10-100 years into the future.

To forecast and estimate budgeting, adjust staffing, master planning, boundary study preparation, technology, capacity studies, and utilization studies.

Subdivision Yield Analysis

A subdivision yield analysis studies and calculates historical student yield by housing type. A subdivision yield analysis is useful when used in conjunction with an enrollment projection to plan new facilities or boundary changes based on potential growth from planned or active subdivisions.

We determine subdivision yields by analyzing the housing data for the areas that make up a school district. By comparing housing types, locations, and volume to where students live. we can establish yield factors for all geographies of a school district. For example, if student enrollment in an area totals 100 and there are 200 housing units in that same area, the student yield would be 0.5 students per housing unit.

Once yield factors are established, we estimate the number of new students per year by multiplying the yield factor by the number of projected new housing units.
